Q1. How many vacancies are released for RRB ALP new vacancy 2026?
Ans: As per the official update in March 2026, the Railway Board has approved a total of 11,127 vacancies for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP).
Q2. Can 12th-pass candidates apply for the RRB ALP 2026 exam?
Ans: No, only a 12th-pass certificate is not enough for ALP. You must have Class 10th + ITI (in specified trades) or a Diploma/Degree in Engineering
Q3. What is the age limit for RRB ALP new vacancy 2026?
Ans: For General (UR/EWS) candidates, the age limit is 18 to 30 years. Age relaxation is provided as per government norms: 3 years for OBC (NCL) and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Q4. Is there any Negative Marking in the RRB ALP Exam?
Ans: Yes, there is a negative marking of 1/3 ($0.33$) for every incorrect answer in both CBT-1 and CBT-2. However, there is no negative marking in the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT/Psycho Test).
