- Application Screening: Shortlisting based on higher sports achievements.
- Physical Fitness Test: Includes:
- 1.6 km run: 5 minutes 45 seconds (male), 8 minutes (female).
- 9 feet ditch (male) / 10 feet long jump (female).
- Zig-zag balance (male) / 3 feet high jump (female).
- Skill Test: Conducted in the respective sports discipline.
- Medical Examination: Conducted by the Army Medical Team at the trial site.
- Merit List: Prepared based on performance in trials and medical fitness.

General instruction for application before apply offline
- The initial training for the sportsperson will be conducted at designated Regimental Centre followed by Professional training in the allotted trade in various Army Training Establishment
- All sportsmen enrolled under this scheme will be placed under a probationary period of 3 years. Havildar & Naib Subedar entries are liable to be discharged if sports performance does not improve to level
- Candidates found under influence of performance enhancing drugs while participating in selection trials or any time before the date of enrolment, shall be disqualified immediately and even if caught in dope
- Candidates should be prepared to stay for the entire duration of the selection trials and medical examination at place mentioned in call letter for which they have to make their own arrangement.
- Candidates declared Medically Temporary Unfit in the recruitment can avail specialist review from the specified Military hospital within a maximum period of 21 days
- All selected candidates will submit Police Verification form alongwith the Offer of Enrolment and the candidates will be required to submit the same to respective regimental centre at the time
- The application form is to be submitted on A4 size paper only as per the given format. Only one application form is to be forwarded, candidates who send more than one application for entry
- Candidates are required to report at the Selection Trials Site by 0600 hours on their respective scheduled dates. Candidates reporting after 0600 hours without appropriate justification
